At the table

These are the tools for the session itself. Everything here updates live for everyone at the table.

Encounters

As DM, prepare fights ahead of time: add monsters from the compendium (or your homebrew) and the party’s characters, and pick a battle map. A prepared encounter waits on the campaign page until you start it.

Combat

The combat tracker runs a fight: roll or set initiative, step through turns, apply damage and healing, and add or remove conditions. It reminds a caster to make concentration checks when they take damage. Each player is notified when their turn comes.

Board

The play board is the shared screen for a session. It shows the current scene, the battle map during a fight, the turn order and a rail for each player with their character’s key numbers.

  • The DM sets up the next scene privately, then switches everyone to it at once.
  • Players see their own character on the board and can act from it: roll, track hit points, cast spells.
  • On a phone, the phone view shows the turn order and your own hit points and conditions, for players joining from somewhere else.

Dice

Roll from the dice tray. Each roll has an audience: Public (everyone), Private (only you) or DM Only (you and the DM). The game log keeps every roll and event of the session to scroll back through.

A DM can create a link for someone without an account:

  • A guest link gives them a seat at the table on the board.
  • A spectator link lets them watch only.

The DM can revoke a link at any time.
